Get into a chartered boat with fighting chairs and strap yourself in for this exciting sport fishing outing in Ixtapa! This resort city's waters are filled with big game fish such as sailfish and marlin ready to put up a big fight as you try to reel them in. Will you be one of the lucky ones to catch one?
Pick from 3 boats to take you fishing
Your excursion begins early in the morning at the Main Dock of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, where you'll meet the experienced crew who will guide your journey. You can choose between three boats - the 30-foot Gaby, the 35-foot Blue Bayou, or the 40-foot Agua Azul. The licensed crew will provide you with the bait and fishing gear necessary so you can be off into the Pacific waters of Ixtapa, considered one of the best places for big game fishing in all of Mexico.
Snag a fish weighing more than you
As your boat sails, sit back and let the wind flow around you as you sip on a cold one - your crew will serve you plenty of soft and alcoholic drinks throughout your sport fishing expedition in Ixtapa. Once you're out at deep sea, it's time to look for those monster-sized fish. Blue, black and striped marlin are abundant in the area, as well as yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi (dorado), and barracuda. Who knows, you might even catch the ever-fighting sailfish, which can weigh up to 500 pounds! After 7 hours out in the ocean, and hopefully a catch in tow, the crew will take you back to the marina.
