About Dunn's River Falls

Dunn's River Falls is one of Jamaica's national treasures. Globally, it is as well known as reggae and equally stimulating.There are few places where the Arawak name "Xayamaca"--land of rivers and springs--is more apt. The Spaniards called the area "Las Chorreras," the waterfalls or springs, and it is truly one of the most beautiful spots on the island.

Scale the 600 ft limestone rock formation as water cascades past you and splashes into the ocean below. Small pools of water and excellent photo opportunities will greet you along the way. Not recommended for pregnant women. Not suitable for persons with neck or back problems. Not wheelchair accessible. What to bring: water shoes, sun block, towels and cash or credit card for souvenirs or extras, watershoes or sneakers needed to climb the falls.
