The all-inclusive Riu Palace Mexico is located in the exclusive Playacar resort area, overlooks the turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean just five minutes from Playa del Carmen. The Riu Palace Mexico is a luxurious full-service beachfront all-inclusive resort featuring a large variety of on-site facilities and amenities. The white-sand beach, four spectacular pools including a separate children's pool and one with a swim-up bar, six restaurants, five bars, a Riu Land kids' club, Renova Spa and gym at the 'Mexican Street' and two floodlit hard surface tennis courts set the tone for an extraordinary vacation.
Exchange Privileges
Riu Resorts' generous exchange privileges allow guests to enjoy all the facilities and services of the adjacent Riu Palace Riviera Maya, Riu Yucatan, Riu Playacar, Riu Lupita and the Riu Tequila! Your dining, entertainment and bar offerings are greatly expanded when you take advantage of these privileges. In keeping with the exclusivity of the Riu Palace Mexico, guests at the other properties are not allowed exchange privileges with this hotel (with the exception of the Riu Palace Riviera Maya). Please note that Riu requires guests to enjoy dinner at their own resort.

The Riu Palace Mexico Resort offers sumptuous buffet-style dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a choice of indoor, air-conditioned or outdoor terrace dining. Elaborate buffets offer a wide variety of choices with show cooking stations. International a la carte dining venues including a new bodega-style eatery and the gourmet Krystal Restaurant are available for lunch and/or dinner. A new venue features coffee, pastries and ice cream. Outdoor bars offer snacks throughout the day and into the night along with your favorite beverages. Live shows and special theme nights are presented six days a week. In addition, for additional lunch and snacks, Riu Palace Mexico guests may enjoy a selection of restaurtants at all Riu hotels in Playacar.

Restaurant Don Julian
This is the hotel's main restaurant, offering elaborate buffets with show cooking stations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Don Julian is air-conditioned and offers both smoking and non-smoking sections with gorgeous views of the lush grounds and pools. Special evenings feature theme buffets three times a week.
La Bodega Restaurant
Mexican specialty restaurant. Open daily for lunch and dinner, featuring buffet starters, Ã la carte menu and desserts. Dine within view of the ocean, under the shade of a beautiful coconut palm grove.
La Dolce Vita
This is the other beachfront venue here, featuring Italian cuisine. Open daily for lunch and dinner, offering buffet starters and à la carte service. Enjoy an ocean view while feasting on Italian fare.
Guacamole Beach Restaurant
Beach restaurant, grill and steak house. Open nightly for dinner only. Resort casual dress required.
Miyagi
One of the newest offerings at the Riu Palace Mexico, this beautiful Japanese restaurant offers fantastic à la carte specialties at dinner nightly. Resort casual dress required.
Krystal Restaurant
The gourmet à la carte Krystal restaurant combines contemporary decor with more upscale, fusion cooking; menus combine ingredients from different countries. Open for dinner.

Important Information
- Additional services including additional decorations, floral arrangements, food and beverages and live music can be added; prices vary.
- The bride and groom and witnesses (if required) need to be in destination at least three full business days prior the wedding for Civil ceremonies and two full business days for Religious ceremony.
- Only the Civil ceremony is legally recognized. A Religious ceremony has no legal bearing and does not replace in any way the binding Civil Marriage. Once the Civil Ceremony is over, the couple receives a copy of the marriage licence and the original is sent within 5 -6 months directly to your home (please note that the Mexican Government can take longer to send these documents). Once the documents are received you should translate them into English and take them to City Hall for legalization.
- Religious ceremonies or Renewal of Vows are symbolic. They are performed by a non-denominational minister. The bride and groom will receive a symbolic marriage certificate without legal bearing.
*Please note that in Mexico Riu does not arrange Catholic ceremonies; a non-denominational minister is used. - Room upgrades are to the next level above your booked room, however upgrades are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
- In order to have a wedding at Riu Hotels & Resorts, the couple and at least 80 percent of the total number of wedding guests must stay at the hotel where the wedding will be performed, otherwise it will be canceled. This is a strict RIU policy.
- Wedding guests not staying at the resort must purchase a Day Pass.
