Riu Yucatan
Part of Riu’s Playacar resort community, Riu Yucatan provides incredible views of the surrounding beach and allows its guests to experience the best amenities of several of its resorts. As a guest of the Riu Yucatan, you may take advantage of RIU's generous exchange privileges and enjoy the facilities, restaurants, bars, shows & entertainment at the Riu Tequila, Riu Lupita & the Riu Playacar properties adjacent to the resort. With RiuLand, kids ages 4-7 and 8-12 enjoy age-specific entertainment promoting fun learning through outdoor physical activities including group games and sports, cultural games and swimming pool recreation.

Elaborate buffets with show cooking stations offer a wide variety of choices suitable for the whole family. International à la carte dining venues are available for dinner. Outdoor bars offer snacks throughout the day along with your favorite beverages. Live shows and special theme nights are presented nightly.

La Hacienda
This is the hotel's main restaurant, offering elaborate buffets with show cooking stations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. La Hacienda is air-conditioned and offers both smoking and non-smoking sections with gorgeous views of the lush grounds. Different theme nights are offered three times a week.

Grill/Steakhouse
Open nightly for dinner à la carte, enjoy a variety of choice grilled meats. Resort casual dress required.

La Margarita
During the day, this is the large pool bar/snack bar - open from 10:30 am to 9:30 pm. At lunch, a great buffet is served with spot cooking stations. After 9:30 pm, La Margarita is transformed into a Mediterranean/International à la carte specialty restaurant. Enjoy dinner poolside, under the stars. Resort casual dress required for dinner.
BARS
Choose from four great bars and two discos:
- La Cantina is the lobby bar and is a great social gathering hub
- El Templo Salon Bar is an indoor/outdoor pavilion bar adjacent to the lobby in a beautiful setting, surrounded by large terraces

- La Espuela Disco at the Riu Yucatan and La Pinata at the Riu Tequila across the street are both very popular spots that attract guests from all of the Riu hotels in the complex. Your days can be as full or as relaxing as you want them to be at the all-inclusive Riu Yucatan Resort. In addition to a palm shaded, white-sand beach and two beautiful lake style pools with terraced sunning decks, resort activities include workouts around the pool, beach volleyball, table tennis tournaments, introductory scuba diving lessons and daily entertainment programs for adults and children. A variety of water sports is available on the beach, and windsurfing, catamarans, kayaks, body boards and snorkeling equipment are included for all guests.
Motorized Water Sports
Jet skis, parasailing, diving trips and more may be arranged at the on-site dive shop, Scuba Caribe, located directly on the beach, in the center of the Riu complex.

Important Information
- Additional services including additional decorations, floral arrangements, food and beverages and live music can be added; prices vary.
- The bride and groom and witnesses (if required) need to be in destination at least three full business days prior the wedding for Civil ceremonies and two full business days for Religious ceremony.
- Only the Civil ceremony is legally recognized. A Religious ceremony has no legal bearing and does not replace in any way the binding Civil Marriage. Once the Civil Ceremony is over, the couple receives a copy of the marriage licence and the original is sent within 5 -6 months directly to your home (please note that the Mexican Government can take longer to send these documents). Once the documents are received you should translate them into English and take them to City Hall for legalization.
- Religious ceremonies or Renewal of Vows are symbolic. They are performed by a Non-Denominational Minister. The bride and groom will receive a symbolic marriage certificate without legal bearing.
*Please note that in Mexico Riu does not arrange Catholic ceremonies, a non-denominational minister is used. - Room upgrades are to the next level above your booked room, however upgrades are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
- In order to have a wedding at Riu Hotels & Resorts, the couple and at least 80 percent of the total number of wedding guests must stay at the hotel where the wedding will be performed, otherwise it will be canceled. This is a strict RIU policy.
