As a guest of the Riu Tequila, you may take advantage of RIU's exchange privileges and enjoy the facilities, restaurants (lunch only), bars, shows and entertainment at the Riu Playacar, Riu Lupita and Riu Yucatan properties within the complex. With RiuLand, kids ages 4-7 and 8-12 enjoy age-specific entertainment daily, promoting fun learning through outdoor physical activities including group games and sports, cultural games and swimming pool recreation. Just a short cab ride away, you will find the charming and eclectic town of Playa del Carmen. Services
The Riu Tequila is a full-service all-inclusive hotel featuring a wide variety of on-site and in-complex facilities and amenities for all ages. Guests have access to a palm shaded white-sand beach, just 833 yards away, with beach club and full service beach facilities and complimentary shuttle service. Hotel amenities include two swimming pools, a swim-up bar, four restaurants, three bars, the supervised RiuLand children's club, Renova spa and gym at the Mexican Street and one floodlit hard surface tennis court. Riu Tequila's 'La Pinata' night club is a favorite haunt for Riu's adult guests throughout the complex for late night fun and dancing.

The Riu Tequila Resort offers casual buffet-style dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a wide choice of indoor, air-conditioned or outdoor terrace dining. Elaborate buffets with show cooking stations offer a wide variety of choices suitable for the whole family. International a la carte dining venues are available for dinner. Outdoor bars offer snacks throughout the da (including buffet and 'on-the-spot' cooking stations at the Beach Club), along with your favorite beverages. Live shows and special theme nights are presented nightly throughout the complex. Snacks and beverages are available 24 hours a day!

Things to Do
Riu Tequila's two freshwater pools, with sun terraces and an artificial beach, and one children's pool, are the focal point of fun and games during the day. A tropical garden path opposite the Riu Yucatan Hotel provides easy access to the beach club, just a short stroll away. Frequent shuttle transportation to the beach club is also provided throughout the day on a complimentary basis. The beach club has a snack bar/restaurant and lounge-chair service. Non-motorized water sports including windsurfing, catamaran sailing, snorkeling and kayaking are included at the Riu Yucatan water sports center for all guests. There is one floodlit, hard-surface tennis court on-site, available day and night as well as a variety of on-site games and organized activities for all ages. The 18-hole Playacar Club de Golf course, next door, is open to guests at an additional cost. Guests eighteen and older enjoy use of the gym, Jacuzzi and sauna at the Renova Spa at Riu's "Mexican Street".

Important Information
- Additional services including additional decorations, floral arrangements, food and beverages and live music can be added; prices vary.
- The bride and groom and witnesses (if required) need to be in destination at least three full business days prior the wedding for Civil ceremonies and two full business days for Religious ceremony.
- Only the Civil ceremony is legally recognized. A Religious ceremony has no legal bearing and does not replace in any way the binding Civil Marriage. Once the Civil Ceremony is over, the couple receives a copy of the marriage licence and the original is sent within 5 -6 months directly to your home (please note that the Mexican Government can take longer to send these documents). Once the documents are received you should translate them into English and take them to City Hall for legalization.
- Religious ceremonies or Renewal of Vows are symbolic. They are performed by a Non-Denominational Minister. The bride and groom will receive a symbolic marriage certificate without legal bearing.
*Please note that in Mexico Riu does not arrange Catholic ceremonies, a non-denominational minister is used. - Room upgrades are to the next level above your booked room, however upgrades are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
- In order to have a wedding at Riu Hotels & Resorts, the couple and at least 80 percent of the total number of wedding guests must stay at the hotel where the wedding will be performed, otherwise it will be canceled. This is a strict RIU policy.
- Wedding guests not staying at the resort must purchase a Day Pass
